Melbourne Architectural Steel is an established business specialising in the design and fabrication of high-end custom architectural steel for domestic and commercial spaces. Introduced to us via one of our existing clients, we were delighted to help bring Melbourne Architectural Steel’s digital identity to life.
Having invested in professional photography to showcase their work, the new website takes a visually-rich, image-focused approach, immersing users in the elegant outcomes they can expect from Melbourne Architectural Steel.
To complete this project, we engaged several departments within our team to deliver a striking new website which will help position Melbourne Architectural Steel as an industry-leading business. Our web design and development team, copywriters and SEO team all collaborated to ensure the success of the Melbourne Architectural Steel website.
As always, user experience is foremost in our mind when creating new websites, and this site provides for easy user navigation whether it be via mobile, tablet, laptop or PC.
SEO Jumpstart Campaign
Melbourne Architectural Steel engaged practiceedge for an SEO Jumpstart when the website went live.
The goal is to lay the foundations for successful organic growth in the months to come, and get the website moving on an upward trajectory.
We began the campaign by conducting thorough keyword research and competitor analysis, to find our most searched terms, and how we can best target these. Because we had the privilege of building the website, this in-depth keyword research was able to guide the structure of the website and to ensure we had every page required to set the website up for success.
Following this, we optimised each page across the website, targeting these around our primary keywords, set up and optimised a new Google Business Profile, and implemented a small backlinking strategy, including linking from sister sites and setting up local citations to add local authority to the website.
Traffic
The website launched in November, and all work was completed in November. Since then, no additional work has been done on the SEO or website itself, only on social media – but you can see clear improvement in search impressions and clicks, improving over time. This occurs as the website gains more trust from Google, and as Google discovers any new content on the website.
Keyword Research
Our thorough keyword research was used to guide copywriting and website structure. Monitoring these keywords, we have seen a really positive trajectory in keyword visibility on Google. Rankings have seen strong and consistent growth between December and May, where they will continue to see steady organic growth over time.
This brand new website had zero history with Google, so results don’t happen overnight. Having said this, we have seen strong growth in keywords over time, and the team now enjoy more than 120 keywords ranking in Google’s Top 100. Because the website has the right foundations to see continued growth, this is improving over time, even without putting a lot of time into the website.
