Step One:

CHECK CONNECTIVITY TO YOUR WEBSITE

See if you can access your website. If yes, then proceed to the next step. If you site (or our site – https://practiceedge.com.au) is NOT accessible, it is likely that your IP address has been blocked. The most common reason for this is that you have attempted to enter an incorrect password when trying to access your site admin area or email.

Step Two:

TEST EMAIL SERVER AND PASSWORD

  1. Go to webmail: https://whm.practicewebsite.com.au:2096
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. ACCESS – If Email server is working correctly. Proceed to email client settings.
  4. NO ACCESS – Contact Us to RESET your password.

Step Three:

 

EMAIL CLIENT SETTINGS

Whilst there are some variations between email clients, all will require the following base settings to function correctly. Ensure you have correctly entered the following settings:

IMAP account – Non SSL Setup

Incoming mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
Port:143

Outgoing mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
Port:2525, 26 or 587
(different ISP’s will allow sending email on different outgoing ports so try 2525 first and any issues, try the other 2)

The outgoing mail server will always require authentication. Must turn SSL off for both.

On MAC Mail you need to tick a checkbox allowing you to use insecure connection.

IMAP account – SSL Setup

Incoming mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
Port: 993

Outgoing mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
Port: 465

The outgoing mail server will always require authentication. Must turn SSL on for both.

Port: 110

Outgoing mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
Port: 2525, 26 or 587

POP account – SSL Setup

Incoming mail server: whm.practicewebsite.com.au
